In the early 1960s, Japanese violinist Dr. Shinichi Suzuki developed the Suzuki method for teaching children how to play an instrument. He believed that music was learned the same way as a new language: through listening and repetition. The Suzuki method starts children on an instrument at a young age with thorough parent involvement in order to create an enjoyable learning environment. Dr. Suzuki valued individual practice as well as group practice, and encouraged teachers to incorporate group classes into the repertoire. At Primavera Place we value the Suzuki method, and every teacher works diligently to foster a love of music within their students.

We believe that all students are capable of developing their musical talents, given excellent instruction and consistent nurturing guidance at home. All parents receive information and support in achieving these goals.
